A Veggie Venture

Chef Thomas Martoccio and Chef Darren Garmer of L'Ecole Culinaire, along with their able teams, worked creatively with fresh produce from the farmers that morning. Set up outside under white tents, they braved the heat and challenging conditions. At the start, they learned the secret ingredient for the contest: peaches!

KMOV TV Channel 4 and Steve Templeton were on site broadcasting live to capture all of the action for viewers at home. Catherine Neville of Sauce Magazine entertained Market visitors with commentary as the chefs prepared their dishes.

Voilą! Less than 90 minutes later, amazing culinary results were presented to our illustrious panel of celebrity judges: Steve Templeton and Catherine Neville along with Editor Vicki Pickle of St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles Magazine, Chef Fred Youngblood of Straub's, and Clayton Alderman Alex Berger.

In a very close contest, Chef Thomas Martoccio was declared the winner! Recipes will be coming soon!
